Un bref historique

After having studied photography (D.E.C) and 3D design with Softimage (A.E.C), I have worked in this fields for a while and after that I worked in the Multimedia field in which I was a web programmer, integrator, computer artist, project manager and production director.

For six years I have been teaching Multimedia at College and giving staff training in enterprise. Besides teaching, I work for myself as computer artist, web site programmer, photographer, consultant, Multimedia project manager and... Knifemaker !

Pourquoi fabriquer des couteaux
My interest in knives started in my childhood, when I started to collect and use them (outdoors, camping, hunting, etc.) as I got older I continued to collect them.

For some years I pursued my interest in knife making, through books and magazines, and more recently on the Internet. Spending hours and hours getting to know more about it. Not having a workshop, I had to content myself creating desings and models on paper.

Since I bought my house a few years ago, I managed to make a small workshop for making hand crafted knives.

Starting out is not always easy and a lot of patience and perserverance is involved (there is a big difference between theory and practice). But once the knife is finished, the pride of having made it from A to Z greatly compensates for an the effort invested.
